PLS Providers
MTEC providers are experienced educators who have maintained their enthusiasm for education. Some are retired teachers or administrators. Others have returned to education after raising children of their own. MTEC reclaims these valuable resources and makes as many as 150 highly qualified and committed educators available to instruct, coach, mentor and assess.
PLS providers are expected to attend a 6 hour MTEC orientation before they can provide service. Acceptance of providers by MTEC does not guarantee work. The amount and type of work is dependent upon the number of contracts for service. Hiring preference is always given to those individuals with urban teaching experience.
