MTEC Places 75 Interns In Milwaukee Classrooms

MTEC has successfully placed 75 teaching interns in Milwaukee classrooms for the 2009 - 2010 school year. They serve children in over 50 schools and provide service to bilingual and special education students as well as instruction in math and science. MTEC Exceeds the 2008 MPS Combined Giving Campaign Goals

MTEC staff, instructors and coaches pledged $20,200 to the 2008 MPS Combined Giving Campaign. Almost 90% of those who returned pledge cards made a contribution to the 2008 MPS Combined Giving Campaign. This year's contributions included $11,425 designated for the MTEC Center For Sustainablity. MTEC has a long history of strong support to the MPS Combined Giving Campaign. We are especially proud that we reached our goal given the current economic uncertainties.

MTEC Sets 2008 United Way Goals

United Way contributors can direct their donation to MTEC (agency # 1234) in section 4-C of the Combined Giving pledge form. MTEC has set goals of 100% of pledge forms returned and a total of $20,000 donated by MTEC staff and coaches.

MTEC advances improvements in teaching and learning through professional development and instructional coaching for teachers. MTEC also develops ecologically sensitive community service projects through a collaboration between the AmeriCorps Program and the Center For Sustainability
