Winter Symposium 2020: Supporting Educators Through Trauma Sensitive Practices
According to the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, a traumatic event is a frightening, dangerous or violent occurrence that poses a threat to a child’s life or bodily integrity. MTEC, in partnership with UWM School of Education, recognizes the seriousness of trauma, especially for children, and the need for educators to be equipped with the tools to support students and families while also supporting themselves.
